Solidarity Donations

At present Solidarity Not Charity does not receive any grant funding; we work collaboratively with organisations, groups and individuals to fulfil our aims. All our work is carried out through solidarity donations by volunteers and so far all our events have been organised and run with no formal funding at all, and only made possible by the generaous support of individuals who have lent or donated us equipment or their invaluable skills, knowledge and time. Therefore, any and all contributions are GREATLY appreciated and unless specified otherwise all financial donations go completely to fund our overseas partners' crucial work.

Contribute

In addition to the obvious financial contributions needed, you can contribute in other ways too sucah as your skills and resources. So if you would like to volunteer your skills/resources to Solidairty Not Charity do get in touch.

Voluntary skills/knowledge we are presently in need of:

  • musicians/performers for our fundraising events
  • event organisers
  • fundraising skils
  • contacts for grants and funding for our work and our partners

    Items/resources we particularly need are:

    • laptops for our partners
    • cameras for our partners
    • film projector for our events in the UK
    • documentary films to show at our events
    • use of free venues for our events

Generally if you like what we do in any way and could potentially assist us please get in touch!

    Fundraising

In addition to our film and music benefit events individuals can show Solidarity by fundraising for our partners through organising your own events or participating in challenges like fun runs and cycle events raising sponsorship funds for our partners.

Past events have included a range of things from doing boot sales to holding exhibitions of our photography at their work place to raise awareness to the general public and to raise funds.

Currently individuals are particpating in the British 10km for our partner Habiba International's human rights work.

If you are interested in taking part in this challenge or any similar event please contact us for more details.
